NECSL COACHING LEAGUES

U7 – U9 Boys & U10 Girls    

Moulded studs moulded studs only

2.50 euro per team, per game, is payable to the facilitator after each game

1 coach per team can stand between line/cones and wall surround

Apply roll on roll off substitutions.

Retreat Line applies

Sidelines apply. Kick-in awarded to opposition when ball crosses sideline.

Kick-in to be played backwards and opposition must retreat to allow the kick-in.

Goalkeeper only allowed handle the ball in the small box.

If goalkeeper handles outside the small box then free kick is awarded.

Goalkeeper cannot handle ball from a pass back.

If goalkeeper is in possession of ball he/she must throw ball out rather than kick it.

No long kicks or drop kicks allowed

Penalty awarded for defending player deliberately touching ball in small box.

Defending player can encroach in small box provided he does not deliberately touch the ball.

No goal allowed to be scored inside small box.

Tip off to be taken after a goal has been cored.

NECSL COACHING LEAGUES U10 Boys

Managers to remain outside of fence as games will be officiated by a referee

5.00 euro per team is payable to the referee after each game

Payable to NEFL 15.00 euro per team on Saturdays and 20.00 euro per team Friday nights

No steel studs nor steel blades allowed in St Pats

Retreat Line applies for U11 Boys

There is no offside for U11 Boys

Goal kicks must be taken from within the 6 yards goal area and must leave the penalty area before being touched.

Throw-ins should be taken in the normal way. A foul throw should be given another chance after which it shall be awarded to the opponent.

The opposition should be at least 10 yards (9m) away when a corner, free kick or goal kick is awarded.

The back pass rule does apply. In the event that the goalkeeper picks the ball up from a pass by his own teammate a direct free kick shall be taken from the edge of the zone area parallel with where the ball was picked up.

Encourage goalkeeper to throw ball out rather than kicking it long.

Only players and coaches allowed onto pitch. Supporters, parents etc. must remain outside fence.

Technical area between pitches is for substitutes and coaches only. No football allowed in this area.

Common sense should prevail at all times.

U12 Girls has a limited off side rule and will apply with ‘line’ marked approx 15 yards from goal across the width of the pitch. This zone will be equivalent to the 18-yard box.

Goalkeepers can handle the ball in this zone and there are no restrictions on the number of steps they may take when holding the ball.

Otherwise normal rules apply.
